How can we support your school community?
We work with many schools across Hertfordshire, offering various activities, training and support to students, staff and parents/carers. Everything we offer is provided in line with the individual needs of the school.
We create positive early experiences with mental health services, creating a safe space to explore feelings, improve understanding and gain confidence in talking about mental health and emotions.
Please get in touch with us if you feel we could help your school.
For any bookings, queries or to discuss specific requests, please contact us by email at [email protected] or call us on 02037 273600.
The ways in which we can help your school are:
- Hosting Information Stands
- Providing Assemblies
- Delivering free Training and Workshops through our Children and Young People’s Spot the Signs and Emotional Wellbeing Project
- Delivering paid-for Targeted Training and Workshops
- Fundraising Support
Here at Goffs-Churchgate we have an excellent working relationship with Herts Mind Network. Their Children and Young People’s team continue to be incredibly supportive, hosting mental health and wellbeing workshops at the school as well as webinars. The team’s advice has enabled us to design our own Breakout Room for students as well as an online Digital Safe Area on our school website.
Lumi Nova
For schools who are looking to support their pupils with fears and worries (anxiety), we also offer INSTANT access to Lumi Nova: Tales of Courage – a fun, digital therapeutic intervention for 7-12 year olds. To find out more please see our Lumi Nova information page.
Hosting Information Stands
Through providing information stands at school events and parents evenings, we aim to reduce the stigma attached to mental health difficulties and offer helpful signposting information on local mental health services. We can provide information, advice and guidance to students, parents and staff, helping to raise awareness of mental health and emotional wellbeing in line with the Whole School Approach within your setting.
Providing Assemblies
We can provide school assemblies to raise awareness of mental health. This will promote positive mental health and wellbeing amongst students, help to reduce stigma around mental health and encourage positive discussions between peers.
We can deliver assemblies that focus on particular mental health needs and provide assemblies on national mental health awareness days or weeks.
Fundraising Support
Join other schools in Hertfordshire and fundraise for us!
The fundraising done by local schools helps us to support more young people across Hertfordshire who may be facing difficulties with their mental health or emotional wellbeing.
We can work with your school to identify fun and imaginative ways of supporting us, which helps us to raise much needed funds for running, developing and expanding our CYP services. Fundraising activities also benefit your school community through developing a greater awareness and understanding of mental health.
Local schools often have a Charity of the Year or support local charities with fundraising events and activities. Please get in touch with us to discuss this further.
