Fundraising

Last year Hertfordshire Mind Network supported almost 9,000 children and young people people across Hertfordshire through our dedicated services aimed at 5 – 18 year olds.

We wouldn’t be able to reach this many young people without the fantastic support of our amazing fundraisers and donors across the county!

By choosing to support Hertfordshire Mind Network through fundraising you can help to make a real difference to the lives of young people across the county – including yourself, your friends and your family. Whether you’re an individual taking on your own fundraising challenge, part of a community organisation or involved in fundraising at your school/college, we would love to hear from you!

As a local, independent charity (affiliated to national Mind) we are responsible for raising our own funds.  This means that every pound raised or donated will stay local and go to support people within Hertfordshire.

If you would like to arrange a fundraising event or make a donation to support our children and young people’s services, please visit our fundraising section on our main website.

Fundraise for us

Schools

If you are a local school, we would love to partner with you.

We want to work with local schools to raise awareness and funds because schools are important to our community and help shape young people.

By teaming up with schools, we can talk to students, parents, and staff about mental health and share helpful information.

This partnership will help make mental health issues easier to talk about and create a place where everyone feels safe asking for help.

Fundraising in schools will also help us provide more support to those who need it, making our community stronger and healthier.

Paint the School Blue

Run a non-uniform day where everyone wears something blue to highlight the importance of mental health.

Blue Bake Sale

Baking is a great activity for our wellbeing, tapping into a sense of mindfulness.

Challenge your students to get creative by making blue baked goods – with the proceeds coming to Hertfordshire Mind Network.

The Feelings Collection

Creating things helps us express and process our emotions.

Invite your students to create and submit art inspired by their expression of feelings. This could be in any form they want.

Then run an art exhibition to showcase their submissions, inviting parents/ carers to bid on pieces they like, donating the proceeds to Hertfordshire Mind Network

Let it out - Battle of the Bands

Music is a key outlet for our feelings and emotions.

Run a battle of the bands, with ticket sales going to Hertfordshire Mind Network.

What emotion are you?

Run a dress up day where children dress up as different emotions. This encourages great conversations about the variety of feelings and what they might mean to each child.
